We are offering training to all those who will be docenting and volunteering at the exhibit.

There is 4 hours of training broken into 2 2 hour slots.  We are asking that you attend both session 1 and a session 2 to learn the most and be as well equipped as possible to help out in the exhibition in October, November and December.

and 2 boot camp 1-off options for those who want to get it all done in one shot: August 10th at 1pm for 4 hours at Gethsemane Cathedral or September 7th at 12pm for 4 hours at HCSCC.

On the 28th of September around noon there will be a follow-up class for all docents in the Gallery space with The Saint John’s Bible director, Tim Ternes, to get everyone oriented to the space and get some more of the nuts and bolts information.

Course content:

Week 1 – history and foundation – there will be some pre-reading and video watching that will be sent out a month before.  That homework will take about 45 minutes.

Week 2 – Detailed discovery of the exhibition illuminations

Location:

We will meet in the Bishops Room at Gethsemane Cathedral at 3600 25th Street South.  Please enter the church through the office doors – the white doors on the west and south facing side of the building.  Follow the path by the letterbox.  Please do not enter through the red doors.  

What to bring:

Pen or pencil, notebook.  If you have any of the books about the St John’s Bible, bring those.  These can be purchased at the Hjemkomst book shop.  They are not mandatory but will be helpful.
