A peak inside by travel toolkit

I love to travel and I love to do art while I travel. I have been doing this for a few years now and have slowly but surely whittled down my travel kit to what I truly need.

In this video I show you what is with me this trip to South Africa – and I am travelling heavier than normal – 1 more palette of gouache instead of just 2 – one watercolor, one gouache; more brushes and erasers and no trading cards which is an ommission on my part as they are due when I get home and I need to do them!

Most of these supplies come from John Neal BookSellers or Paper and Ink Arts. Wonderful people with loads of knowledge and always kind and helpful. Both these businesses have specialised tools that cannot be bought elsewhere for calligraphers, book makers and illuminators. My M Graham paints (a company whose ethics and products I love made in Oregon responsibly) come from Art Materials in Detroit Lakes and they have an excellent online store too and are one of the few locally owned art suppliers for all artists and need our support. Support small and independent vendors first. Amazon does not need our support.

If you have any questions, contact me and I would be happy to give you more info. As I get questions, I will add to this posting with more details and weblinks.

So travel lite, keep it packed in a bag and take it with you! Make art wherever you go!
